Dr. Heather Jones - Veterinarian

Dr. Heather Jones joined Suburban Animal Hospital in September 2019.

She was born and raised in Key West, FL and has lived in the Gainesville area since 2001. Dr. Jones received her undergraduate degree in Zoology from the University of Florida in 2010 and worked with the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission for 4 years before returning to school to pursue veterinary medicine. She graduated from the University of Florida with her DVM in 2018. Her professional interests include internal medicine, surgery, and alternative medicine and acupuncture.

In her spare time, Dr. Jones enjoys birdwatching, working on DIY and home improvement projects, running, and spending time with her loved ones as well as her rescue dog Freyja and three cats: Luca, OJ, and Tacocat.
